There is no such thing as fashion rules when it comes to being daring and fun, but start with the basic proper fit and build your wardrobe from there.
Alaxandra has been in fashion for over 10 years.
Started working retail at age 16 in Abercrombie and Fitch.
Always a creative mind, coming home from kindergarten and stencil copying her fathers Architectural blueprints, she always found art as a means of enjoyment and fascination.
By age 19, she had already filled high positions such as ‘Specialist’ at Lord and Taylor for Jones New York and Ann Klein, where she learned about merchandising, fitting different body types and color.
She took a regular retail sales position at Lester’s of Greenvale which in a short three months got her promoted to the select visual merchandising team.
Interest peaked as she learned more and she was asked to be a co-stylist for a fashion shoot in the Village Connection, a magazine for the town of Huntington.
Alaxandra decided to start blogging in 2011 in order to showcase her abundant creative talents.
Since then she has been asked to model and style different designers’ products on her blog as well as Instagram @thefashimite.
After deciding she wants more knowledge to go with her hands on experience, Alaxandra decided to become a Certified Elite Personal Shopper. She now has the complete package to bring an affordable service to the table for any budget.
Alaxandra now works full time at The Gibson in Manhasset, where she is able to fully channel her inner fashimite abilities by styling and shopping for her clients. Each person gets the full attention they deserve coupled with fashion expertise.
What sets Alaxandra apart from the rest? Her perfectionist attention to detail and fit, along with honesty. “There is no such thing as fashion rules when it comes to being daring and fun, but start with the basic proper fit and build your wardrobe from there.”
